about sightseeing

Stars go silent but live on in the light waves that travel through time and space. When we’re lucky, their light enters through our cornea, which bends light toward the pupil, which controls the amount of light that hits the lens, which then focuses the light on a layer of nerves called the retina. Is that how it works? Then, after the nerve impulses are processed, we see it. Those waves reach us, reach into us and find something like it, and we seek them out.
